LIAM TULLEY DEVELOPING NEW COMEDY FOR BBC THREE

  • Liam Tulley has written a comedy pilot for the BBC
  • The comedian will write, direct and star in the pilot episode
  • The show focusses on a character who has just left prison and is now trying to get his life back on track
Liam Tulley is to pilot a new comedy for BBC Three.

A trial episode will be filmed in February as part of this year's run of new comedy pilots.

The as-yet-untitled show centres around a the life of a recovering drug addict as he attempts to get his life back on track after leaving prison.

The BBC explains: “When we meet the main character, he has just returned to his home town after being released from prison. He is desperate to move on and put the past behind him, but in a small town where poverty, substance abuse and crime is rife, that's not so easy.”

"A subject like drug addiction is not something that screams comedy, but Liam has written a script that is so bleak, yet offers a truly authentic comic voice."

As well as writing, Liam will direct and star in the pilot episode.

Further details, including a cast list and details on when the show will be published, will be released at a later date.
