liam tulley launches new production company
Liam Tulley has launched a new production company dedicated to making comedy set in the north of England.
Yorkshire is to be home to a new independent production company.
EIGHTYSEVEN ENTERTAINMENT has been set up to develop original ideas for multi-platform broadcast across all genres including comedy, drama and film. The company has also set up a label, Comedy Tribe Productions that will work directly with commissioning editors and aims to develop scripted comedy written by and starring the best emerging and established comedy talent from the north of England. Focused on creating and producing northern comedy the label has been founded by Liam Tulley in order to take more control over his own work. Liam said: "As a new writer it's difficult to get creative control over your work once it's in the hands of a production company. Sometimes things get edited and interfered with so much that in the end it's not what you originally set out to make. Setting up my own company and doing it myself means I get full creative control. I can take an idea, develop it and then make it how I want it to be made."
